GTECH Has A New Executive!

I am tremendously proud to announce that the GTECH Board of Directors has unanimously selected Evaine K. Sing to be GTECH’s next leader.  Cue the balloon drop!

As GTECH’s current (award winning) Chief Operating Officer, Evaine was the clear choice for advancing our goals and building from our strong momentum (much of which she is responsible for).

Since the launch of our public search in September, we received over 120 applicants from around the country.  While it has been an impressive candidate pool with a range of unique experiences, very few demonstrated the combination of expertise, experience, and passion necessary to succeed.  This galvanized the Board’s desire to re-examine existing strengths and internal capacity already present in the organization.

Evaine is the perfect choice for the job as she commands a deep level of substantive expertise, embodies GTECH’s ethos and core values (since she started with us in 2012 as a Lauble Fellow at The Heinz College), and has made outstanding contributions not just to GTECH – but to dozens of organizations around the region.  She is an active board member for The Pittsburgh Community Reinvestment Group, taught GIS at Chatham University and The Saxifrage School, helps coordinate the Green Space Alliance, led the redesign of URA’s Land Care Program, is the mastermind behind Lots To Love, and has turned thoughtful design into meaningful investments throughout the region as a landscape architect for the last 10 years.  Most recently Evaine authored GTECH’s Sustainable Return On Investment analysis – a first of its kind in the country demonstrating a $22 return for every $1 invested via our Ambassador programming.

Clearly, this is an exciting development for GTECH, for our sector, and for our region.  I am particularly proud to be succeeded by Evaine  with all of her gumption and gusto, and for GTECH to continue a tradition of cultivating talent and leadership from within. Our executive transition process will completely wrap up as we celebrate our 10 year anniversary with a special one time event, “Grounded for Good” on April 21st, 2017 at the Heinz History Center.  Mark your calendars now – and stay tuned for more details soon.
