Grounded Strategies Executive Director Transition Share this post FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 11/13/2023 Charlie Goodwin, Chair of the Board of Directors boardchair@groundedpgh.org Darnell Moses, Vice Chair of the Board of Directors darnell@groundedpgh.org — Grounded Strategies announces the resignation of its Executive Director, Ariam Ford, effective November 30, 2023. Ariam will be moving on to a new role outside of Western Pennsylvania. Ariam has had a profound impact on Grounded and the people and communities we serve during her 6 1/2-year tenure with the organization. As Executive Director, she successfully led the organization through the Covid-19 pandemic, broadened Grounded’s external support to include national funders and partners, and reframed Grounded’s approach to environmental stewardship to champion racial and social justice as well. We are pleased to announce that current Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors, Darnell Moses will serve as Interim Executive Director of Grounded Strategies while the Board conducts a search for a new Executive Director. Darnell has over two decades of experience in community and economic development, nonprofits, and government which he will employ to guide the organization through the transition. We thank Ariam for her dedication and steadfast leadership as Executive Director and wish her the best of luck in her new position.
