We saw it as something that could be done better and something that could better people’s lives. I enjoy that we help people in a tangible way while still thinking about the big picture.” – Nicole If you call GTECH to sign up for the Healthy Homes Incentive Program(HHIP), you will speaking with Nicole, and she will probably be sipping on a mug of hot chocolate that is – naturally – insulated by a heap of marshmallows. Last September, having just finished up an Energy Corp Fellowship with the Penn State Center: Engaging Pittsburgh, where she was managing a student auditing program, Nicole joined the ReEnergize Pgh program team. She was tasked with helping the team build out the HHIP processes and activities. In February, Nicole studied hard and earned her Building Performance Institute (BPI) certification and is now a certified Building Analyst. This means she can perform home energy audits as well as identify health and safety issues in homes. She also guides homeowners through the technical jargon that is associated with energy efficiency, not to mention how to keep their hot coco warm with the proper insulation techniques.
