GTECH Celebrates 8 Years. Posted on April 16, 2015 by Grounded Strategies Share this post Happy Birthday to Us. GTECH Strategies turns 8 and we finally got was our first-ever, beautifully designed annual report! We have one thing to say to you for our birthday – Thank you. Thank you to the communities that engaged us in taking action where action was possible. Thank you to the residents of those communities as well as the 36 Ambassadors from 2014 an 2015 for dedicating their time towards making positive change. Thank you to our partners who made projects happen. Thank you to our volunteers who donated 950 hours of their time to help communities across Allegheny County. Without you all none of GTECH’s work would be possible. Here’s a note from GTECH’s CEO and burrito lover Andrew Butcher, It has been eight years since the inception of GTECH, since our first investment of 80 yards of manure at The Almono site, and since we turned our first ground in East Liberty. In that time, we have worked with more than 60 different communities throughout the region where we engaged thousands of people, tested and implemented a range of strategies and partnerships and helped to cultivate the unrealized potential of a strong local green economy. … As we embark on a new phase of strategic planning through 2018 we will continue to activate places and empower communities towards increased community health. We will double down on partnerships to ensure systems change in a more focused way. We will provide nationally unique resources to distribute capacity to people in vulnerable communities. We will help refine and integrate a resiliency agenda with partnerships throughout the region and continue to strive to translate inspiration to action. 2014 was our best year yet, and we can’t wait to tell you what we do in 2015.
