Greenways Workshop + Networking Event

April 6, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Free

Calling all Greenway Enthusiasts! Join us for an afternoon of resource-sharing, networking, and conversation about protecting and improving Pittsburgh’s greenways.

On Saturday, April 6th, we will be gathering greenway stewards from across the City. This will be an opportunity to learn from fellow stewardship groups, identify free community resources, share best practices, and connect with City officials.

Discussion topics to include:

  • Building Capacity: Where to Find Resources and Support for your Greenway
  • Demystifying the City’s Process for working in your greenway
  • Greenways for Pittsburgh 2.0 project update and Mock Implementation Plan
  • Tabling by local greenspace organizations

Please RSVP. Food and drink provided. Childcare available upon request.

Questions? Contact Anna at anna@groundedpgh.org or (412) 361-2099 x 6#.

This project is part of Grounded’s Resilience Generation (ReGen) Program. In 2018, Grounded started working with Pretty Up Beechview (PUB) to spruce up neglected land at the entrance of the Seldom Seen Greenway. Recognizing that there are numerous greenways through the city with dedicated stewardship groups like PUB, this workshop is meant to bring together that network to build capacity and share experience.
