As a community-centered organization, the ministry engages elementary-aged youth in after-school and summer programming. Grounded Strategies partnered with The Lighthouse to build a youth garden for the after-school and summer program students. Grounded trained Lighthouse Cathedral staff to facilitate a modified version of our Junior Ambassador Curriculum. The modified curriculum engages elementary youth with topics related to community development, project design, healthy eating, and gardening. The students learned skills to design, implement, and care for their youth gardening space.
