Together We Shine Lot

The Together We Shine lot is blooming in Sheridan! What was an overgrown lot on Fairdale Street, is now a spot for children young and old. The space includes a decorative fence and pollinator garden, playful pavers, seating and a chess table. Playful signage encourages kids to stretch, hop and move. Future work will continue to combat the invasive knotweed plants behind the fence and eventually create a lawn that could serve home-school groups or yoga classes.

Grounded’s ReGen program provided early outreach and design assistance, including a neighborhood charrette which gathered ideas for the space. The project received implementation funding through the Play Everywhere Challenge created by KaBOOM! and Keurig Dr. Pepper. This playful installation will get Sheridan kids playing more!
