Mischelle McMillan

Uptown Ambassador

“All our resources that we have available to us, we never took time to find out if we could make something useful. What we have right here, we can turn back into something.”

About Me.

For the past 5 years, I’ve called Uptown home. I have four children, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In the past, I worked as a community organizer, outreach professional and business manager. In my spare time, I enjoy sewing, singing, cooking, hiking and anything in the great outdoors.  I hope that my work as an Ambassador can move the community in a positive direction, as well as save people money.

Why did you apply to be a ReEnergize Ambassador?

I applied to learn and grow with the fast-changing world of today and tomorrow.

What challenges face your community?

Growth that provides both safety and beauty, where children and adults join together and strive for improvement.

What would you like others to know about your neighborhood?

We are moving forward to beautify our neighborhood and to make safety a priority. Uptown is becoming increasingly aware of agencies, partnerships and other types of support, which has helped the neighborhood tremendously.
