Miranda Micire

Intern: Social Work

Miranda is joining Grounded as a practicum student from the Masters of Social Work program at the University of Pittsburgh. She is in her first year of the Community Organizing and Social Action (COSA) program and is pursuing a joint degree in Public Administration. Miranda has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Dayton. While living in Dayton, Miranda worked at Homefull as an employment case manager assisting homeless individuals with gaining employment. Previously, she was an AmeriCorps volunteer for the Youth Economic Self-Sufficiency program working at DayBreak, a shelter for homeless and runaway youth.

Miranda was born and raised in Pittsburgh but moved to Dayton, Ohio to attend college. She moved back to Pittsburgh in May of 2016 after graduating and worked at The Hope Learning Center as an Instructional Aide. 

When Miranda is not at work or school, she enjoys taking yoga and indoor cycling classes, exploring local parks, and attending as many concerts as she can.
