Kris Chandler Email LinkedIn Project Manager: Land Use Policy Pronouns: he/him/his An artist with a passion for public policy, Kristopher (Kris) hails from Erie, Pennsylvania! With a background in writing, film, community engagement, non-profit management, and transportation advocacy, Kris is driven by connecting his passions to discover solutions to some of the most pressing policy issues of today. He strives to meet people where they are at, in order to better understand who they are, what they need, and how best everyone can work together. As the Land Use Policy Project Manager, Kris is excited about bridging the gap between land use, transit-oriented development, housing, zoning, and public space. He believes in centering planning solutions around people and that cities have a responsibility to acknowledge and repair the harmful development practices of the past. Kris has a Bachelor of Arts in Screenwriting from Point Park University and has called Pittsburgh home for almost a decade. He is currently involved in various community organizations and groups throughout the city, including Lawrenceville Corporation and the City of Pittsburgh’s Complete Streets Advisory Group. Prior to joining Grounded, Kris was the Project & Policy Lead with Mobilify Southwestern PA, as well as the Program Associate for the National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO), where he worked on various projects, including those related to: Vision Zero initiatives, the American Cities Climate Challenge, outdoor dining and public space, safe routes to school programs, pandemic response and recovery, and bikeway design.
