ReClaim Northside Ambassador

“This neighborhood has great potential. There is a lot of diversity, innovative development and an abundance of people who are dedicated to making a difference and helping Pittsburgh as a whole become a more enjoyable and sustainable city.”

About Me

I am a native Northsider– born in 1974 on Monterey Street. I am married to my best friend of 25 years and have two children (ages 22 and 19). I am an attorney in Downtown Pittsburgh with a practice focused on real estate, energy and environmental law. I graduated from Duquesne University School of Law in 2004 and am currently pursuing a LL.M. in Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School. I am expected to graduate in December of 2015.

What does community mean to you?

The Northside is very important to me. the attributes of this community have had a major impact on the person that I have grown into. My strength, versatility, dynamism and innovation were derived from a lifetime of experiences in this community.

What is your favorite place in the Northside?

West Park! Growing up, the park was a place that I associated with “freedom” – running, playing, laughing, and enjoying being a carefree child. It was a place where children from all over the Northside congregated. The open-space was very comforting and inviting. Friendships were built there and memories were created. Those were some of the happiest moments that I can remember as a child.
