Lisa Freeman Manchester Growing Together Farm Lisa is the Founder and CEO of the Manchester Growing Together Farm, which she began in 2011. A former GTECH Ambassador, Lisa attended the University of Pittsburgh for both her undergraduate and graduate studies, and she holds dual master’s degrees in Social Work and Public Administration. But her real love is playing in the dirt. GTECH mentored my love of playing in the dirt and encouraged those ‘seeds’ to bloom. The initial garden that GTECH supported with education, a financial investment, mentorship, and support was the catalyst that has blossomed into a farm. Lisa has spent her entire professional life working with low-income communities most at risk of violence, drug abuse, mental health challenges, and family dysfunction. She is passionate about causes that help the disenfranchised, and has long been a community leader in the Northside. Aside from her love of playing in the dirt, Lisa is also an avid storyteller, the mother of three amazing children, and the wife of the great Wallace Sapp.
