Project Mgr: Planning & Analysis

James arrived at GTECH shortly before he started the Master’s of Sustainability program at Chatham University in 2012. His educational career has focused on the systems of communities and how these can impact the overall health of our neighborhoods. Over the past several years, James has managed numerous project for GTECH including two ReClaim Neighborhood Scale Initiatives. James believes the residents of Pittsburgh region are resilient and doing amazing things in the places they live.

Prior to his work at GTECH, James has had the privilege of working and interning in the field of Community Development with organizations like Pittsburgh City Council and the Planning Department, The Design Center and Allegheny Land Trust — developing communities that are economically viable, environmentally friendly and socially just.

James grew up in a small rural town in Western New York, which has given him an appreciation for greenspace, something he believes everyone should have access to. When he is not working to improve the quality of those spaces, you can catch James playing tennis, hiking in one of our awesome parks or exploring the emerging food scene of Pittsburgh.
