Shortly after graduation he joined the Peace Corps and served in the mountains of Peru. Greg was a Coverdale Fellow at Bard Center for Environmental Policy, where he received an M.S. in Environmental Policy. His thesis work was examining the carbon sequestration projects in Peru’s Amazon. He has also worked all across the United States in different types of environmental themes from renewable energy production in Vermont, to land use policy and wildfire prevention in the Tahoe area of California, to biodiversity promotion in Pennsylvania. The common theme of Greg’s work has been community engagement and education to enhance the natural environment around them, done through a participatory process. He is now in Pittsburgh working with local residents to beautify vacant lots as a part of the Grounded team. He enjoys powerlifting and long walks with his shibu-lab mix, Charlie.
