Elizabeth Stephens

Organizational Development Specialist & Social Entrepreneur

Elizabeth Stephens is an organizational development and management consultant with over 25 years experience working for social change both in the U.S. and overseas at Manage For Impact. As Executive Director of Social Venture Partners (SVP) Pittsburgh, Elizabeth worked with over 100 nonprofits to leverage and message their programs to have a greater impact. Prior to SVP, Elizabeth worked in Pittsburgh with Brothers Brother Foundation and the Community College of Allegheny County. Before moving to Pittsburgh, she spent time managing programs for the U.S. Agency for International Development in Peru, Bolivia, and Guatemala. She also lived and worked with the Peace Corps as a volunteer in the Eastern Caribbean. Elizabeth joined the Grounded Strategies board because she wants to contribute to long-term, measurable change through building upon existing passion and skill within the local community.

“Grounded inspires long term and measurable change through building upon existing passion and skill within the local community. If my background and experience can help in any way to support this, I am very grateful to be part of the momentum!”

Elizabeth describes herself as “a bit of an endorphin junkie,” as she enjoys cross-fit, master’s swimming, biking, hiking, skiing, kayaking, and running — she recently placed in her first triathlon. She is passionate about ending childhood hunger, bolstering education and opportunity, and supporting stewardship of the environment. She is active with the faith-based community in urban neighborhoods and in the developing world and considers being “Mom” to two amazing young adults to be her best accomplishment.
