Bridget Little

ReClaim Northside Ambassador

“I see a lot of need in my community for cohesion and involvement for people inside the community and to those interested in perhaps becoming a part of it.”

About Me.

I would describe myself as an urbanista who enjoys traveling. I love hanging out in my small backyard with my friends and my dogs. I feel that there are SO MANY possibilities with the Northside. While there are a lot of people who feel a lot of pride about their neighborhood, I feel they don’t have a way to adequately or positively channel it. I’d love to help with that in any and all ways.

What would you like others to know about your neighborhood?

It’s extremely historic and beautiful. Every day I walk my dogs, and I’m astounded that such beautiful buildings have been left vacant and unnoticed by outsiders. I cannot for the life of me understand why there are any vacant lots in Manchester. With access to the city, a T line, and history, it’s crazy to me that more individuals are not drawn to it.

What hopes do you have for your community in the near future?

I would love to see a more inclusive community. Better schools, public spaces, a better economic center, and a sense of inclusion and understanding. Right now there’s a lot of segregation between community members of different races and socioeconomic statuses. I know a common ground exists, and I’d love to uncover it while building the community economically and socially.
