Adriana Bowman

Adriana Bowman is a Senior Planner at the City of Pittsburgh’s Department of City Planning. During her time at the city, she has worked to advance projects in economic development, parks and recreation, and vacant land stewardship. She received an Economics degree from the University of South Carolina before studying community and economic development for a year in India. She received a Master’s in Public Administration with a major in Urban Affairs and Planning from the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. During her time at GSPIA, her internship with the City of Pittsburgh, the Regional Industrial Development Corporation (RIDC), and work with the Buhl Foundation led to a passion for community planning, sustainability, equity, and community development. These experiences have also led to skills in research, analysis, and policy development. She has completed a variety of plans including corridor, park, and multi-municipal comprehensive plans.

She is an avid traveler who enjoys immersing herself in other cultures and languages. Originally from South Carolina, she is still getting used to Pittsburgh winters, but is enjoying exploring the City’s diverse 90 neighborhoods.
