We are very excited about the 21st Pittsburgh Racial Justice Summit, a multi-cultural initiative of the Black & White Reunion. For the fourth consecutive year, it will be hosted by the Metro-Urban Institute at the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
The Opening Ceremony and Organizing Dance Party is in partnership with Union Project.
This year brings a renewed energy, with events starting Friday night and continuing into Saturday night:
If you want to attend the panels and workshops on Saturday and go to the evening events, too, please register on this page.
If you are interested in only attending the Opening Ceremony on Friday night, or the Organizing Dance Party on Saturday night, please click here to go the page where you can register for them separately.
The Opening Ceremony has limited seating. When registering, an RSVP is required. You may RSVP on the next page.
PRJS is a volunteer-led and run organization. Registration proceeds are used to cover the costs of hosting the Summit and for the Jonny Gammage Scholarship Fund. We ask that those with access to more resources pay more and thus provide the cushion for those with less access to pay less, creating a sustainable economic underpinning for the conference.
More than 800 people attended the Summit in 2018, a testament to the value our community places on this unique action-oriented, anti-racist educational, networking, and planning event.
Note: The Friday night and Saturday night events are at the Union Project, 801 N Negley Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. The panels and workshops during the day on Saturday are at the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
Thank you for your commitment to justice.
