Dora P. Magovern Children’s Hospital Pronouns: she/her/hers Dora is a Clinical Social Worker at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. She has worked in a variety of capacities within the social work and public health fields, including child abuse research, direct practice, and community organizing. She cares deeply about trauma and abuse and incorporates animal therapy in her practice. Driven by her desire to be more involved in the community, Dora joined the Board. To her, Grounded represents the “perfect intersection of sustainable programming that addresses public health, environmental action, and individual empowerment. “Grounded Strategies represents the perfect intersection of sustainable programming that addresses public health, environmental action and individual empowerment.” Dora enjoys spending time with her husband and child, eating, cooking, reading, running and yearly trips to the Maine coast. She makes a mean chocolate chip cookie and lasagna.
