This year's 8th Bike Tour & Block Party event will feature Grounded's projects in Pittsburgh's eastern neighborhoods (East Liberty, Larimer, Homewood, and Wilkinsburg). At each stop, we will speak to community partners, learning about their journey and the transformation of vacant spaces into activated places. This year's SolarFest will be on Sunday, June 23rd at the Frick Environmental Center located at 2005 Beechwood Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15217 from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. There will be an electric vehicle car show, food trucks, music and information on solar, energy efficiency, efficient solar home design, community solar projects and ways to strengthen Pennsylvania’s renewable energy laws. Join the Grounded team for a fall bike ride to visit vibrant, reclaimed community green spaces.  The Pittsburgh region has over 30,000 vacant lots, many of which are overgrown and unmaintained.
